Installation Guides and Tire Fitment

.
Installation Times

This guide is to be used strictly as a reference.
Add extra time for vehicle alignment and any driveshaft adjustments or modifications. These times are approximate, actual installation time may vary. These times are based on: ASE certified installer familiar with particular kits, access to all necessary air and specialty tools, air compressor and vehicle lift, safely installing on a clean rust-free vehicle.

Full-Traction Suspension is not responsible for any estimates of time and/or dollars in relation to this guide or any other reference as to the installation of any Full-Traction product.

Wheels and Tires

Installation of larger diameter tires may:

  • Reduce engine RPM throughout the operating range of the vehicle. A gearing change may be required.
  • Cause premature wear of clutch and/or transmission.
  • Require recalibration of the speedometer
  • Require recalibration of the anti-lock brake system.
  • Decrease the life of original equipment vehicle suspension and steering related components. These items are the responsibility of the vehicle owner and are not related to your Full-Traction Suspension system.

Wheel width and backspacing will affect tire/body/chassis clearance

  • A wide tire outside the fenderwell is more likely to rub than a narrow tire tucked inside the fender.
  • Aggressive tread tires may decrease clearance between tires and body/chassis/suspension.
  • If minor rubbing occurs on sharp turns modification of inner fender or bumper may br required.

Always follow the wheel and tire manufacturers recommendations. Tires are generally designed by series and actual dimensions may vary. Be certain to check actual dimensions before purchasing or installing.

The vehicle suspension may settle over time and clearances may be reduced. Allow extra clearance for normal settling of vehicle when installing new wheels and tires after a recent suspension installation.
